Beginner guide: quests, equipment, and character points
Choose a job from the quest board, check its requirements, and use the right progression menu: Blacksmith for equipment, Upgrade Knight for stat points in the developer reply. Private quest worlds are reported by players; solo play still needs an online connection.
Read the board before collecting materials
The official quest-board screenshot shows named jobs and their requirement icons. The QoL patch says selecting a job with missing items tells you how to craft them; jobs marked Requires Potion accept any health potion. These are useful checks before chasing a guessed ingredient.
The September crafting note says to open pause and switch to the crafting tab. You can combine items while questing; in town, the menu includes storage. Armor recipes found in dungeons are taken to the Blacksmith.
Choose the correct upgrade service
Blacksmith handles equipment upgrades; Steam's Holy Diver achievement names that service. Developer coty identifies the Upgrade Knight in the barracks for stat points (Single source: developer reply). The leveling note calls the skill-point service Knight Trainer; it does not establish how that name relates to Upgrade Knight.
The selected upgrade screenshot previews Dark Knight Greatsword +1, using a base Dark Knight Greatsword as one input. Its quantities are Single source and belong only to that selection; the Training Greatsword header is the open-tree context.
Questing alone
In the Steam solo discussion, Jim says private barracks and private quest worlds are available; SimLec adds that this is not offline play. This does not establish that every dungeon puzzle can be completed alone.

What I checked
This guide compiles public screenshots, patch notes, and attributed replies. It is an orientation guide, without a claimed first-hour completion time or a route tested by this site.
Questions
What should I check before taking a quest?
Read the selected objective and missing-item requirements. The QoL note says the board supplies crafting guidance when you lack a required item.
Should I spend gems at Upgrade Knight to improve a weapon?
Equipment upgrading belongs to Blacksmith. Upgrade Knight is the stat-point service in developer coty's reply; these menus should not be combined.
