Crossplay, cross-save, and account linking
Official listings support crossplay among Steam, Microsoft Store and Xbox. Xbox Play Anywhere supports the Xbox purchase across supported Xbox devices, but does not establish Steam-to-Xbox character transfer. Developer coty said Steam-to-Epic account linking was not yet available.
Three different features
A launch-week Xbox invitation problem is a single community bug report, not an announcement removing crossplay. Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox cloud saves are listed by Xbox. Steam-to-Xbox character transfers remain unconfirmed in the sources checked.
| Feature | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Crossplay | Steam, MS Store, and Xbox together | Launch FAQ and store tags |
| Cross-save | Xbox ecosystem features listed; Steam-to-Xbox transfer unconfirmed | Xbox store; no Steam transfer statement |
| Epic account link | Not on Steam yet; developer says it is planned | Single developer reply: coty |

What I checked
I separated the words on purpose. The launch FAQ’s crossplay line is solid. The account-linking thread is one developer saying Steam cannot attach an Epic account yet. I did not stretch that into “no cross-save forever”.
Questions
If I buy on Steam, can my friend on Xbox join?
The launch FAQ says yes, the platforms crossplay. The invite UI had launch bugs.
Can I move my character to Xbox later?
Xbox lists Play Anywhere and Xbox cloud saves, but those do not establish a transfer from the Steam edition. No Steam-to-Xbox character-transfer statement was found.
